LOVE AAJ KAL- INSTANT LOVE, SEX & RELATIONSHIP - Nisha JamVwal

Instant Coffee In Internet Age of Instant Love

"Keep your eyes upon me, keep me in your sight,
Help me don the crooked road, lead me to the light.
The road I'm on is crooked & shrewd, I'm not sure if I know the way,
Yet with You right beside me,
so that I won't stray.
Protect me from the 'agenda' world,
I know I'll make it through,
Give me more strength I need it....
Let me lean on you."

In an age of instant coffee, instant internet, instant popcorn here we are seeking instant gratification in instant love..........................

.........we just tend to bumble and stumble into a relationship without becoming friends, without looking at whether there is a ‘fit’, whether there is a rapport – we’re just looking at filling that gaping lacuna that hours of being lonely internet junkies bring.

The film 'Love Aaj Kal' so aptly shows that  couples these days try to make themselves believe attraction is love, or love is just an infatuation that goes away with time and that there is no such thing as "true love" or "soulmate".

Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan hold their feeling in their hearts even though they still love each other with a passion because real love is nearly 'uncool'.

innocent elemental passionate heat........by Nisha JamVwal (1994)

I Seek Not Imortality......................
These hours of mirth
these joyful days....
i beseech you lord
don't let them go,

This blissful haze,
friendships beguiling chord,
formed at this stage
never fall low

sadness and gloom
not seen as yet
depressions malevolent mould
Int the past not met,

Heart Body & Soul By Nisha JamVwal

Are We Two Ships Passing In The Dark?

Life's Meanderings Through Troughs & Triumphs...........

That’s life isn’t it?
Two ships in the dark
Sometimes meet
Sometimes apart
Sometimes back to the start
.. And sometimes we take off where we left
It’s mostly that we meet when i am happy
But then there are times I am bereft

Questioning Soul By Nisha JamVwal

Restless Questioning (Circa 1982)

My heart is wrenched
I cry in Pain
Why I am sad
I cannot say
I find it dark
I grope in vain
My minds unrest
Is there to stay

What is the cause
The clenching hurt
To choke my mind
To kill me yet,
No branch to hold-
I’m sinking in

That Skimpy Top Nouveau Wife Of Today By Nisha JamVwal

Being Superwoman & Running Running Running by Nisha JamVwal

I am late for a meeting with my client, rather late in fact. He was waiting at the site, tapping his toe, and when he saw me, pointedly glanced at his watch and then, mustering an accusatory look on his good-natured face, glanced at me inquiringly. I busily shuffled some drawings, looked important, opened my portmanteau, arranged my papers, chinked my eyes, arranging a bright smile on my face, and apologizing. This pre-work ritual done with, I surprised my client and myself too with the statement: 'Ramesh the difference between you and I is, you have a wife, I don’t!"

ART PARTY & ARTERATTI WITH NISHA JAMVWAL

TRAVELING THE ART FAIR WITH NISHA JAMVWAL

Club Class on Jet Airways A310 was like being at Kala Ghoda - Bombay’s Art District. Looked like everyone was bound toward the Art Summit!
Good show this, a festival of the arts in Delhi.

The buzz was infectious. Huge droves of people who love the arts… socialites who like to just tag on to anything popular, serious collectors, devoted artists, wannabes… just hoards of people headed to the profusion of art ‘do’s’ set in the Capital to celebrate this Art Fair of sorts. And here I nearly wouldn’t have gone, with my busy schedule, multitasking work, writing and travelling.

A Dedication To Friends -poem by 'Nisha JamVwal' on Friendship

I dedicate this poem to my friends, I wrote it for you, you who have been with me through all the rapids, the highs, the beauty and the sometimes not so beautiful, my reactionary A type personality, I am delighted to have you in my life.
If I haven't said it before....
Then
THANK YOU!

"FRIENDSHIP IS FULL OF HAPPINESS & STRIFE,

Nisha JamVwal's South African Sparkle

South African Holiday

Switzerland, Saint Tropez, Mont Blanc……… planning dream journeys bring to the imagination exotic locales, but South Africa? That it would one day be my most desired holiday destination with a poignant longing to go back? and without that craving to return to the roller coaster work and play that constitutes Bombay Nisha JamVwal fare!

Never had I imagined this scenario when I embarked on this astounding holiday! Sometimes its just so magically escapist to run away and imagine that that is what constitutes life?!
With the overload of information in our lives, I had only distantly registered that there is more to South Africa than intricate weaves, voodoo and ebony art. Even when my itinerary was being planned to the minutest detail, wrapping up work for the holiday isolated me from knowledge and expectation. And so the heightened delight for the unexpected adventure and amazement that peppered the exploration of this fascinating country.

Love, Loss & Moving on by Nisha JamVwal

Sometimes I wonder why
The vaulted sky
Translucently glows
Through all the lows
Frowns speck my brow
I’m wondering when
The green glen
Be a valley free
To hug a Tibetan tree
A moody dappled moon
Hides from me
A flower in bloom
Un speckled smiles
Unfettered Miles
I’d rest a while
I’d be a child
There was a before
I’d open the door
To dance ashore
Shed cares I wore
Bask in sunlight

Breaking Up Survival By Nish JamVwal

I was at the ripe old age of fifteen when ‘he’ crossed the firmament of my romantic dreams. Tall, intense, brooding, silent, – Heathcliffe, (no less), out of the pages of ‘Wuthering Heights”!

And then my hero, this meteor in human

form, moved out of the aforementioned firmament, leaving behind an irredeemably inconsolable and bereft me. Fits of uncontrollable crying overcame at the remorse that we had not exchanged one single word in all that time our paths crossed! Ever so slowly time reconciled me to an endless life ahead, of forlorn singlehood! And then chance brought him once more to my vicinity. What had the scant month done to him??
Just one month had transformed him into this bashful, stoop-shouldered, chinless wonder who gagged in coyness at every mundane query!!

My Style; My Fashion Choices; Why I wear what I do; What is my style statement!

It's important to be what we are, comfortable from within with our unique choices, not frenetically focused on trends,

Not wearing aubergine because it's the 'in' colour but because you are in sync with the shade. And, of course, to suit your body type.

Nisha Jamvwal's Musing's on Dali

“Every morning, when I wake up, I experience an exquisite joy—the joy of being Salvador Dali—and I ask myself in rapture, ‘What wonderful things this Salvador Dali is going to accomplish today?’”
— Salvador Felipe Jacinto Dali

At this moment when i am creating something new in my life, the words of one of my favourite artists come to mind, that flamboyant artist who used bizarre dream imagery to create unforgettable landscapes of his own inner world.

ACT NOW : Bringing Change To The Indian System

To me the failure to come up victors and prove to the world that we are a world force in organizing infrastructure for the Commonwealth Games is a failure again. Nearly as poor as 26 /11

IS BRANDED SEXY & DESIRABLE? BY Nisha JamVwal

B(r)AN(d) IT

Nisha JamVwal on Slavery to Luxury Brands

B(r)an(d) it!!

Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months. ... said Oscar Wilde, and wouldn’t you agree when you see society ladies with buldges and protrusions in all non-required places at ‘fashionable’ soiree’s strutting designer labels meant for an entirely different body type with all the beatific bliss of feeling that they are immensely ‘right’ on the fashion front . Never mind looking horrifyingly ‘wrong’. What doesn’t seem to count is appropriateness,

Traditional Craft & Preserving a Legacy By Nisha Jamvwal

MY JOURNEY IN TRADITIONAL ART & TO WORK AT SAVING DYING CRAFTS oF INDIA
Like in every traditional art or craft form in India, that one touches upon , what impresses is the skill and dexterity in addition to the time put in. The true splendour of the exquisite series of works have to be seen to be appreciated, mere description cannot do justice, to these richly luminous forms. Yet fame and survival does not come easy to the craftsman whose lineage has managed to keep the art.

the vagaries of the centuries patronage of religion and rulers preserved and protected the art and the artist. But in present times, like so many other art forms that entails so much time and skill, this too is vulnerable and incline toward evanescence. Compromised techniques and work methods have crept in.

A Silent Prayer For Indian Craft

My Gem

Like in every traditional art or craft form in India, that one touches upon , what impresses me always is the skill and dexterity in addition to the time put in. The true splendour of the exquisite series of works that were in the auction orchestrated by me, have to be seen to be appreciated, mere description cannot do justice, to these richly luminous forms.
Yet fame and survival does not come easy to the craftsman whose lineage has managed to keep the art. He struggles in a land where it is difficult to survive.
